Breathe Into the Shadows Review: Breathe 2 - Abhishek's mystery drama is tremendous, the series will tie you up till the end

Breathe Into the Shadows Review

Series     : Breathe: Into the Shadows
Casts      : Abhishek Bachchan, Nithya Menen, Amit Sadh
Director : Mayank Sharma

Abhishek Bachchan's digital debut has been discussed ever since the making of Breathe 2 has been announced. Breathe 2, which is named Breathe Into the Shadows, has been streamed on Amazon Prime since July 10. This is the story of a psychiatrist named Avinash Sabharwal (Abhishek Bachchan) and his family. Avinash Sabharwal lives in Delhi with his wife Abha (Nitya Menon) and 6-year-old daughter Siya (Ivana Kaur). One day Siya suddenly disappears and despite all the efforts, the police are unable to locate her.

Inspector Kabir Sawant (Amit Sadh) of Breathe Season 1 has shifted from Mumbai to Delhi this time. Long after Sia's sudden disappearance, Avinash and Aura find out that she is alive and kidnapped. He gets a letter from Kidnapper and asks Avinash to perform a murder to save his child. After the first murder, this case is received by Kabir and he, along with his right-hand sub-inspector Prakash, starts solving it.

A lot of questions arise here. Like, does Avinash really kills? Who is Kidnapper and why is he ordering to kill people? And the biggest thing is what is the connection of these incidents with Avinash and his family? Will Kabir Sawant be able to solve this mystery?

The story of Breathe Into the Shadows is not as simple as it seems. There are many big twists and turns in this series, which can turn your mind. Although the series begins as a mystery crime thriller, but later it takes the form of a psychological thriller, which is quite good.

The lead hero of Breathe 2 is Avinash Sabharwal i.e. Abhishek Bachchan. Avinash is an ordinary person and a psychiatrist by profession and is also very good in his work. Avinash grew up in Nainital and his life has not been very easy. He lost his parents in his childhood and after that, he was raised in a boarding school. Now Avinash lives in Delhi with wife Abha Sabharwal (Nitya Menon) and daughter Siya (Ivana Kaur).

Abhishek Bachchan has played Avinash's character very well. A father who loves his daughter very much, can do anything for her and her safety, and a psychiatrist who knows how to play with people's minds. Abhishek's character is not as settled as it seems and that is his speciality. They have also done this work well. Abhishek looked very good in the role of a simple but confused man.

Nitya Menon has done a great job in the role of Avinash's wife Abha. A scared mother and wife who just want to save their daughter, but are also questioning their decision at every step. Although still not giving up. Nitya is very beautiful in this whole web series and her work is equally amazing.

Amit Sadh has returned with his old character Breathe Into the Shadows but must say that this time his work is better than before. This time Kabir Sawant's character is slightly better and Amit has given a lot of life to him. At the same time, they also look quite handsome. His pairing with actress Plabita Borthakur is quite fresh and the chemistry of both of them seems pretty cute.

Apart from these three main lead characters, actors like Ivana Kaur, Saiyami Kher, Hrishikesh Joshi, Srikanth Verma, Resham Shrivardhan, Nijgalal Ravi, Shruti Bapna, Plabita Borthakur, Warin Rupani along with many other supporting roles have done amazing roles. This series has proved to be very good in terms of performance.

Breathe Into the Shadows is directed by Mayank Sharma. He has also written this story. Bhavani Iyer, Arshad Sayed and Vikram Tuli have written this story with him. The most interesting thing about the series is its story and then comes the direction. Mayank Sharma has brought a fresh story to the audience, about which you may have heard before but the way it has been served is praiseworthy.

Although the beginning of this series is loose, but after the first twist in the story, it connects you with you in such a way that you do not move from your place till the end. By the time you reach the end of the story, your heart beats also starts becoming faster, which is a sign of how well it has been made. Mayank shocks you from time to time through this series, which increases your interest in it more. Its background music is good and cinematography is also very good.

There also comes a time when director Mayank only pursues this series as a crime drama and leaves the family somewhere. But actors are definitely successful in keeping you engaged with their emotions. The way the story opens layer by layer, you get anxious to go a little bit more about it. Overall, you should see Breathe Into the Shadows once.
