Dil Bechara Review: Sushant Singh Rajput's last film teaches how to live life

'एक था राजा एक थी रानी दोनों मर गए खत्म कहानी', this story of the movie 'Dil Bechara'.

A month and a half after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, his last film 'Dil Bechara' has been released simultaneously on OTT platforms for the viewers of the country and abroad. Sushant's fans will like his last film but the film's painful theme may not connect this film to as many people as Sushant's previous film Chichhore had added. All efforts have been made to awaken the emotions of films like Kal Ho Naa Ho, Anand and Ankho Ke Jharokhe Se.

The theme of the film is death and love and strangely, Sushant's real-life death has also raised questions for everyone, but in this film, he has told many philosophies about fighting against death,.

Story

Sushant has played the role of a Manny in the film who, despite being a handicap, lives life openly and he meets Keiji Basu, a Bengali girl battling thyroid cancer. Keiji always walks with an oxygen cylinder and is always unhappy in life. When unhappy Kizie meets a happy Manny, her life changes.

Kizie and Manny both come close while fighting against death. Manny tries his best to fulfil every dream of Kizie, but in the end, he himself dies while fighting with death. But while dying, he taught Kizie to be happy by spreading love.

The film is based on the famous novelist John Green's book The Fault in Our Stars, on which an English film has also been made two years ago. America's location has become Jamshedpur here and the film has been made pure and modern. The story also goes to Paris from the streets of Jamshedpur.

Sushant and Sanjana's chemistry is special in the film

The main attraction of the film is Sushant and Sanjana's chemistry. Sanjana has played the character of Kizie Basu beautifully. There are a lot of cute moments in the film that the audience will like. Sushant has given another well-performed performance after Chichore and Dhoni.

Being the last film of Sushant Singh Rajput, more people will see the film as the film has not been released in theatres. More people will be able to see this through the digital medium. As the subject of the film is light-hearted, it is a little serious and the entertainment in the film is a little less. The music of AR Rahman in the film is melodious and suits the story.

Direction

Apart from Sushant and Sanjana, the actors of Bengali films like Swastik Mukherjee, Shashwata, Sahil Ved have also played their characters beautifully in the film. Saif Ali Khan's role is special in the film. Mukesh Chhabra, famous as the casting director of films, has tried his best in the film to present the emotions of the characters. Overall, Sushant's last film will be memorable as 'Dil Bechara'.
